The following skills are required for these positions:

  • Experience in plasmid construction required.
  • Experience using PCR in screening large numbers of samples
  • Experience with fungal systems is desired, but not necessary.

Candidates will work in a dynamic team-oriented environment and must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Organization skills, including documentation of results, are required. Hard working applicants with strong background in Molecular Biology are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in fungal systems.

Research Associates – Microbiology

We are seeking four experienced and highly motivated research associates. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Microbiology or equivalent. Industry experience is an asset but not a requirement of these positions.
The following skills are required for these positions:

  • Experience with the growth and analysis of fungal cultures
  • Knowledge of Biochemistry techniques including but not limited to: SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISAs
  • Ability to organize large numbers of samples and process them in a timely manner

RAs hired for two of these positions will work with scientists developing high-through put methods for fungal growth and analysis, as well as routine strain screening.
RAs hired for the remaining two positions will work with scientists developing bioreactor systems for production of heterologous protein.
Candidates will work in a dynamic team-oriented environment and must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Organization skills, including accurate documentation of results, are required. Hard working applicants with strong background in Mycology or Microbiology are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in fungal systems.
