Company Overview

Neugenesis Corporation is focused on generating better biotherapeutics, cost-effectively. To this end, Neugenesis has developed technology that has substantial value in the discovery, improvement and production of complex proteins; especially heteromeric proteins. The Company's work with the filamentous fungi Neurospora crassa has resulted in significant advances in three important areas of biotechnology: directed evolution, combinatorial biology and recombinant protein expression.

Background

Neugenesis was founded by W. Dorsey Stuart, Ph.D., and other key individuals who recognized the potential commercial value of Neurospora for biotechnology applications. Neugenesis' technologies are based on original academic research performed at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine and University of Kansas Medical Center, as well as Leeds University in the UK and Flinders University in South Australia.

Organization and Administration

Neugenesis' management and staff have advanced the Company's technologies to a remarkable level with the limited financial resources previously available to them. As the recipient of the prestigious Red Herring award in 2005 and the award of a multi-million dollar stage I contract by the Defense Advance Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in July of 2007, Neugenesis is poised and ready for rapid expansion. Currently, they are in negotiation for the second stage of the DARPA contract and are actively seeking to recruit top-level scientists, project managers and research associates.

Partnering Opportunities

Neugenesis is seeking partnerships with select companies and institutions for the discovery, development and/or production of high-value therapeutics. These collaborations will combine Neugenesis' expertise in protein expression and combinatorial biology with a partners' expertise in biotherapeutic product development.
